A Tuna Christmas, the Holiday favorite branded by writers Jason William, Joe Sears and Ed Howard as “the Comedy with Tex-Appealâ€, returns to North Carolina this season opening at the McGlohon Theatre - Spirit Square on Wednesday November 28th.Â
Â
Produced by the Carolina Actors Studio Theatre, A Tuna Christmas is set on Christmas Eve somewhere west of the Pecos where all comic hell breaks loose as the delightfully eccentric Tuna Texans cope with seasonal traumas, a disaster prone production of A Christmas Carol, a yard decorating contest being sabotaged by the mysterious “Christmas Phantom,†and the arrival of Aliens from Outer Space!
Arles Struvie and Thurston Wheelis broadcast local merriment and near disaster from hometown Tuna Texas radio station OKKK, introducing 30 zany characters all played by just two actors (and split second costume changes), Tom Olson and Josh Elicker!!!
Â
A hilarious opportunity to spend your holidays in Texas’ third smallest town where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies; A Tuna Christmas will play November 28th through December 9th, Wednesday – Saturday performances at 8:00PM and Sunday matinees at 3:00PM.
