Theatre Charlotte announces open auditions for The Heidi Chronicles, by Wendy Wasserstein.
The audition will be at 7:00 PM, September 23 & 24, at Theatre Charlotte, 501 Queens Rd, Charlotte.
The play is directed by Julie Janorschke, who directed Brighton Beach Memoirs at Theatre Charlotte last season.

Funny, touching and written with sensitivity, the play is a moving examination of the progress of a generation, from the socially and politically activist sixties to the success-oriented eighties – a time during which the status of American women underwent profound change.  Comprised of a series of inter-related scenes, the play traces the coming of age of Heidi Holland, a successful art historian, as she tries to find her bearings in a rapidly changing world.  A significant and celebrated play; it was a winner of the 1989 Pulitzer Prize, the Tony Award, and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award.

“…a wonderful and important play.”—NY Newsday
